Founded in 1998 Cancer Connect has been providing award-winning, educational content and Applications in oncology directly to patients and through leading cancer providers and advocates including Dana Farber, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, The Ohio State James Cancer Institute, The National Ovarian Cancer Coalition, Texas Oncology and over 60 other clinics and advocacy groups.
By combining information and a social community Cancer Connect provides cancer patients and their caregivers a unique destination to seek and share information, support, and inspiration.
The Cancer Connect content teams blends expertise in oncology, journalism, health communication, and content creation to bring you current, credible, relevant health information.
Joining an online community to connect with other cancer patients has become a preferred means of support and access to information. CancerConnect is unique because its communities are secure, moderated, and flexible in order to meet the goals of your organization. Organizations using a CancerConnect Community allow their members to interact within their private community or to become part of a broader national community of over 50,000 cancer patients. The national CancerConnect community is comprised by patients participating directly from CancerConnect, from other leading advocacy groups and from cancer centers across the US. By creating a national network of connected patients, CancerConnect brings the full range of patients’ experiences and information together on a single site and allows organizations to simultaneously have private groups should they desire.
Content and Community Licensing: Cancer Connect content and the Community applications are available for licensing to hospitals, clinics, and advocacy groups. Cancer Connect is currently used by Harvard Dana Farber, Roswell Park, Ohio State, UCSF, Beth Israel-New England Deaconess, Memorial Sloan Kettering, The National Ovarian Cancer Coalition, MPNRF and numerous other cancer care providers and advocacy groups.
